Axis Bank has announced a revision to the benefits offered on its **BURGUNDY Debit Card**, with the changes taking effect from **1 September 2026**. The update introduces spend-based eligibility for lounge access and BookMyShow offers, discontinues the EDGE Rewards programme, and revises the insurance and DCC terms.

## Key Changes

- **EDGE Rewards discontinued:** Customers will no longer earn EDGE Reward Points on Burgundy Debit Card transactions. Existing reward points can continue to be redeemed as per the bank's redemption policy.
- **Lounge access:** Complimentary airport lounge access will require **₹10,000 in eligible debit card spends** over the previous three calendar months.
- **BookMyShow offer:** The movie and entertainment benefit will also be linked to the same **₹10,000 spend requirement**.
- **DCC markup:** The Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) markup has been revised to **3.5% + GST**.
- **Insurance eligibility:** Customers must complete at least one eligible debit card transaction within **30 days** before an insurance event to remain eligible for complimentary insurance benefits.
